Renaissance Middle School: a car full of food
Written by the Project Refill team

We got connected with Renaissance Middle School through student volunteers who wanted to help collect and sort donations. What ended up happening was a group of students from the school gathered items and helped us load everything into a car to take it over. The photo shows how that went: trunk open, food stacked up, and ten-plus people standing around it. It was one of those moments where you could actually see how much had been collected, which doesn't always happen with food drives.
Items come in a few at a time and it does not feel like much until it is all in one place. That car full of bags and boxes made it feel real. We appreciated every student who showed up.
